How can I place an order?

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards. We also accept both electronic and standard Black's Barbecue gift cards.

How do I place multiple orders to different addresses?

Our Online Cart is currently only setup to allow shipping to a single address per transaction. If you wish to ship to multiple destinations, please enter a separate order for each address. If you are shipping to a large number of addresses, please Contact Us and we'll be happy to assist you with processing the orders.

What are your shipping policies? When will my order ship?

The Black's Barbecue Online Store allows you to select a desired arrival date as part of our Online Cart and Checkout processes. Based on that date, we'll calculate the lowest available shipping rate that allows your order to arrive in excellent condition by your desired arrival date.

We will automatically select the earliest arrival date that provides you the lowest shipping cost. You can adjust the arrival date to an earlier time for an additional charge, if desired.

Our deadline for orders is 10:00 AM Central time Monday through Friday. Orders placed after that time cannot be shipped until the next business day, at the earliest, depending on the arrival date that you select.

Please note that we cannot guaranty a delivery date, but will make every effort to get your package to you by the arrival date that you request. Our shipping methods are determined based on standard carrier delivery times (weather and other delays can impact delivery). If you need your order by a specific date for a party or other event, we recommend requesting an arrival date of at least one day earlier to mitigate any potential delays.

You will receive an email confirmation once your order ships that contains your tracking number and a link to the carrier's website.

How are your shipping rates determined?

Black's Barbecue works diligently with our shipping carrier partners to get you the lowest rates possible on your order. We understand that everyone can't visit us in Lockhart, and we want to offer you an opportunity to share in our delicious Texas barbecue regardless of where you are located in the United States. All shipping rates are automatically pulled from our carrier partners in real-time based on how much it costs us to ship to you. We don't mark up our shipping rates and continue to do everything we can to drive shipping costs as low as possible for our customers. We think you'll find that we have some of the best shipping rates around for shipping barbecue nationwide!

How do you package my order for shipping?

The following video provides a great overview of our packaging process. Please note that some meat items may arrive partially chilled and not completely frozen. Since all of our meats are fully cooked and smoked these items are still safe to eat. You should refrigerate or freeze your meat immediately upon receipt.

All of our smoked meats are vacuum sealed and frozen to seal in their delicious flavors. We package all of our items in a Styrofoam container with frozen gel packs to ensure your items remain cool during transit. You can watch our Shipping Process video for more details.

How do I heat the barbecue once I receive it?

All of our barbecue is shipped fully cooked and smoked so you only need to heat it to a serving temperature of 100-110 degrees Fahrenheit. Wrap the thawed barbecue in aluminum foil and preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Place the barbecue on a cookie sheet or metal pan to catch the juices from the meat as it heats. Check the temperature of the barbecue periodically using a meat thermometer.

Most meat will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour to heat (larger amounts of meat such as a whole brisket may take a bit longer). Sausage and ribs can be heated using the same process but may be ready in as little as 30 minutes. Slice the barbecue with a sharp knife and cut in thin slices. Can I ship my order to a Post Office Box?

Due to the perishable nature of the items that we ship we are required to ship all orders to a physical address. This helps us make sure that you receive the items quickly and are able to refrigerate or freeze them upon receipt.

Can I ship my order to Canada or an APO/FPO address?

Due to a variety of customs regulations, combined with the longer times required for most International shipments, we are not able to ship outside of the United States or to APO/FPO addresses.

When will I see a charge on my credit card?

We authorize all credit card payments at the time that your order is placed, but do not charge your card until the order ships.

Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your experience with us. If we don't live up to your expectations, please contact us and let us know your concerns. We're a family-owned business and will work to make things right, up to refunding your entire purchase amount.

Do you offer corporate or volume discounts?

How do I add a Gift Note to an order?

Any time you provide us with separate billing and shipping addresses for an order during Checkout, you will have the opportunity to provide us with a gift note for the order. The gift note will appear on the packing slip included inside the box. Please note that the packing slip will also include your contact information, but will not include pricing or payment details.
